Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to conduct a training program for 68 officials on Project Management, aligned with SAQA US ID: 120372 at NQF Level 4 (5 credits). The training aims to enhance the project management skills of public officials, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and competencies to effectively manage projects within the public sector.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Delivering a contact session on Project Management tailored for in-house training.
• Targeting officials at salary levels 5-12.
• Conducting the training in Pietermaritzburg over a duration of 3 working days.
• Covering all relevant areas to suit the targeted audience and aligning content with public service requirements.
• Administering formative and summative assessments, including portfolio of evidence submissions.
• Providing certification of competence upon successful completion.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the training must:

• Be based on the SAQA US ID: 120372, NQF Level 4 (5 credits).
• Include a comprehensive course outline covering all key aspects of project management relevant to public officials.
• Involve assessments to evaluate participant understanding and competence.
• Result in certification of competence for delegates who meet the assessment criteria.
