Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to design (build) and deliver a colour 3D inland-to-ocean flow concept model. The model aims to illustrate the pathway of water from upland areas through various zones to the open ocean, highlighting how human activities such as residential pollution, industrial discharge, and agricultural runoff introduce pollutants into the water cycle and how these contaminants are transported via rivers and storm drains into ecosystems like wetlands, estuaries, and the ocean.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of a colour 3D inland-to-ocean flow concept model.
• The model should demonstrate water pathways and pollutant transportation from upland areas to the ocean.
• Submission of detailed specifications, including printing and material details, along with a sample design for approval.
• Delivery to SAEON Arid Lands Node at 97 Memorial Road, South Ridge, Kimberley.

Technical Requirements

• The model must be a physical 3D diagram illustrating water flow and pollution pathways.
• Dimensions: approximately 840 mm (L) x 600 mm (W) x 300 mm (H).
• The supplier must submit detailed specifications, including materials and printing methods.
• A sample design must be provided for approval prior to production.
• The model should visually demonstrate the transportation of contaminants through rivers, storm drains, wetlands, estuaries, and into the ocean.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and producing detailed 3D models, preferably related to environmental or water cycle representations.
• Ability to develop accurate and visually informative models that effectively demonstrate complex water flow and pollution pathways.
• Capability to submit detailed technical specifications and sample designs for approval.
• Competence in working with materials suitable for durable, high-quality 3D models.
• Strong project management skills to ensure timely delivery to the specified address.
