Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable service provider to prepare the annual financial statements for Postbank for the 2025/6 financial year. The selected provider will be responsible for preparing the financial statements in compliance with relevant standards and meeting the National Treasury reporting deadlines. This is a once-off project aimed at ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Preparation of annual financial statements for the year ending 31 March 2026.
• Preparation of the National Treasury GRAP AFS template for 31 March 2026.
• Assistance with providing required information and documentation beyond the initial engagement period.

The key deliverables are the annual financial statements due by 31 July 2026 and the annual return, prepared in accordance with relevant accounting standards and standards applicable to Postbank.

Technical Requirements

The service provider must:

• Have extensive experience in financial statement preparation.
• Ensure high-quality work within reasonable turnaround times and with high accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Assist Postbank with additional information/documentation as required beyond the initial scope.

Skills Requirements

• Membership or affiliation with recognized professional bodies such as SAICA, ACCA, or SAIPA.
• Proven track record of providing accounting services for at least the past eight (8) years.
• Ability to demonstrate experience in preparing annual financial statements, supported by at least three (3) signed reference letters from previous clients.
• Capability to provide skilled personnel, including senior staff, to manage and oversee the project and ensure quality management before submission.
