Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitably experienced and knowledgeable service provider to implement end-to-end management of the individual bursary process. This management is to be carried out on an ad hoc or full-scale basis on behalf of Sasseta, with the contract valid from the date of appointment until 31 March 2030.

Scope

The scope encompasses the comprehensive management of the bursary process, including but not limited to application processing, selection, disbursement, monitoring, and reporting. The service provider will handle the entire bursary lifecycle as specified by Sasseta, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of bursary services over the contract period.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of a team led by a qualified and experienced team leader with demonstrable expertise in bursary management.
• Completion and submission of Annexure B, detailing the team leader’s relevant assignments and experience, which will be used as a mandatory evaluation criterion.
• Implementation of end-to-end bursary management processes aligned with Sasseta’s standards and requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple bursary assignments, including application intake, assessment, selection, disbursement, and reporting.
• Provision of detailed documentation and reports as required by Sasseta throughout the contract period.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in bursary or scholarship management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, demonstrated through relevant assignments led by the team leader.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills to handle the end-to-end bursary process efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to ad hoc or full-scale management requirements.
• Effective communication and reporting skills to ensure transparency and accountability in bursary management.
