Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified training service provider to facilitate in-person laboratory training for SABS employees. The training aims to enhance laboratory quality, safety, compliance, and operational effectiveness through programs such as Good Laboratory Practices for general laboratory staff and Laboratory Operations Management for management and technical leads.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Training of approximately 265 general laboratory employees in Good Laboratory Practices.
• Training of approximately 30 laboratory management and technical leads in Laboratory Operations Management.
• Development of training materials for participants.
• Provision of post-training evaluation reports and recommendations.

The training should cover, but is not limited to, laboratory asset management, operational readiness, and compliance with quality standards.

Technical Requirements

The service provider must:

• Demonstrate experience in laboratory training, with detailed company information and relevant experience (preferably a company profile).
• Provide facilitators with proven experience in laboratory training, supported by detailed CVs.
• Submit a comprehensive programme outline or methodology, including timelines, deliverables, and duration.
• Provide contactable references from recent similar training engagements (not older than 5 years).
• Ensure facilitators and training materials meet laboratory-specific credibility standards, including ISO/IEC 17025 and laboratory quality management systems.

Skills Requirements

• Proven expertise in laboratory training and facilitation.
• Knowledge of laboratory quality management systems, ISO standards, and accreditation practices.
• Ability to develop and deliver training content tailored to laboratory environments.
• Experience in conducting post-training evaluations and providing actionable recommendations.
• Effective communication and facilitation skills, with facilitators possessing relevant professional qualifications.
