Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint an accredited service provider to deliver training on statistical product and service solutions (SPSS) skills to twenty (20) departmental officials. The training aims to enhance participants' ability to manage and analyze data effectively, support evidence-based reporting, interpret analytical results, and contribute to improved monitoring and evaluation practices within the department.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of a five-day accredited training program covering:

• Introduction to SPSS interfaces, data structures, and functionalities
• Data file structures, importing functions, and data creation
• Levels of measurement, data description, and cross-tabulation
• Statistical techniques such as distributions, correlations, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing
• Automation of analyses, report generation, and data management
• Program evaluation and organizational decision-making support
• Practical exercises using real or simulated datasets

The training will be delivered in a suitable venue equipped with necessary facilities, including computers with preloaded software, manuals, sample datasets, and multimedia resources.

Technical Requirements

• The service provider must be experienced and capable of delivering accredited training on SPSS and OLSPs software.
• The training methodology must be participatory, blended, and practice-oriented, emphasizing experiential learning, interactive sessions, and practical exercises.
• The training must be structured into two modules: foundational SPSS skills and intermediate/advanced statistical analysis (OLSPs).
• Provision of laptops/computers with installed IBM SPSS and OLSPs software, training manuals, sample datasets, and multimedia tools.
• Assessment methods including pre- and post-training evaluations, practical exercises, and feedback forms.
• Certificates of competence must be issued to participants upon successful completion.
• The bidder must submit a detailed methodology with clear timelines and a project plan.

Skills Requirements

• Minimum qualification of Degree or National Diploma in Data Analysis, Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant equivalent (certified copies required).
• Proven experience with at least one (1) successful SPSS training within the past three (3) years, supported by reference letters on client letterhead.
• Ability to design and deliver participatory, practical training sessions that are interactive and learner-centered.
• Strong facilitation, mentorship, and support skills during practical exercises.
• Experience in developing training manuals, user guides, and multimedia learning resources.
• Capacity to assess learning outcomes and issue certificates of competence.
