Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint an accredited skills development provider to deliver renewable energy training aimed at benefiting 70 learners. The program seeks to enhance the technical competencies of participants to meet industry demands, promote employment, and support socio-economic development within Gauteng, particularly in the City of Tshwane and Sedibeng District. The initiative aligns with South Africa’s industrial growth strategies, focusing on transforming the automotive sector, creating jobs, and bridging the skills gap among youth and marginalized groups.

Scope

The scope includes the implementation of accredited renewable energy training programs for 70 learners, comprising structured theoretical, simulation, and practical workplace modules. The training will be delivered in Gauteng, covering:

• Skills programs in renewable energy technologies.
• Training at designated facilities in Tshwane and Sedibeng.
• Workplace monitoring, assessments, and certification.
• Post-training support to facilitate employment, further education, or entrepreneurship opportunities.

The provider will also be responsible for ensuring diversity and inclusion targets are met, including representation of youth, women, and persons with disabilities.

Technical Requirements

• Accreditation by relevant SETA, QCTO, or Quality Council bodies.
• Proven experience in implementing similar skills development programs, with at least five (5) reference letters from previous clients.
• Qualified key personnel with CVs demonstrating at least three (3) years of experience in facilitation, moderation, and assessment.
• Qualifications of key personnel, including certificates and relevant accreditations.
• A detailed project implementation and management plan, including methodology addressing employment, further education, and entrepreneurship support.
• Comprehensive pricing schedule covering training delivery, materials, facilitation, workplace monitoring, assessments, and certification.
• Compliance with local content and B-BBEE requirements, including submission of relevant declarations and certificates.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in renewable energy training and skills development, with documented references.
• Qualified facilitators, moderators, and assessors with relevant industry and accreditation credentials.
• Capability to deliver structured theoretical, simulation, and practical training modules.
• Ability to develop and implement a project management plan that includes post-training employment and entrepreneurship pathways.
• Knowledge of local content requirements and compliance with South African procurement and industrial policies.
• Capacity to monitor, evaluate, and report on learner progress and program outcomes.
