Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint an independent service provider to deliver Project Management and Quality Assurance (QA) services for the SAP S/4HANA implementation project at Lepelle Northern Water (LNW). The aim is to ensure high-quality, functional, and reliable system deployment by strengthening project governance, monitoring implementation progress, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring compliance with best practices, policies, and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Planning, coordinating, monitoring, and managing project activities across all phases of the SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• Providing governance support, risk and issue management, stakeholder coordination, project scheduling, progress tracking, reporting, change control, and quality assurance.
• Reviewing project deliverables such as functional and technical specifications to ensure alignment with business requirements and SAP best practices.
• Implementing and overseeing modules including S/4HANA ERP (various modules), SuccessFactors, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BTP, Data Migration, and System Integrations.
• Monitoring vendor and implementation partner performance.
• Conducting formal phase gate reviews and assessing design documents for compliance.
• Delivering final project quality assurance reports, including performance evaluation, risk management, lessons learned, and benefits realization.

Technical Requirements

The service provider must:

• Demonstrate credible experience in managing large-scale SAP S/4HANA projects.
• Work collaboratively with the implementation partner and LNW to ensure successful project delivery.
• Apply SAP Activate methodology for phase reviews and gate assessments.
• Review and verify project deliverables against business requirements and SAP standards.
• Provide detailed project management plans, schedules, and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, government regulations, and LNW policies.
• Monitor performance and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare comprehensive final QA and project management reports.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, including modules such as FICO, MM, SD, PS, PM, Asset Management, and SuccessFactors.
• Key personnel with relevant certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, SAP Activate) and extensive experience in project management and QA.
• Competence in SAP Activate methodology, project governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to review technical and functional specifications, conduct phase gate reviews, and assess deliverables for compliance.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills to facilitate stakeholder discussions and project oversight.
• Experience working within government or similar regulatory environments is advantageous.
