The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a panel of experienced and reputable Investigators to provide forensic investigation services to the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) for a period of 12 months.   • Carrying out investigations into various allegations as directed by SABS Internal Audit.
  • Delivering investigation reports for use by the Audit and Risk Committee and other relevant bodies.
  • Ensuring all reports and findings are documented and transferred to SABS, including copies, recordings, and related materials.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the investigation panel include:

  • Multidisciplinary capability with expertise in forensic investigations, legal, accounting, or related fields.
  • Professional registration and accreditation for investigators, such as forensic certificates, SAICA, IRBA, legal practitioners, or equivalent.
  • Minimum experience of 5-7 years in conducting forensic investigations, supported by CVs and supporting documents.
  • Ability to provide at least three contactable references from recent investigations, demonstrating experience in various types of investigations.
  • Development of a clear project plan with timelines, milestones, and deliverables, demonstrating methodology and addressing potential interruptions.
  • Adherence to confidentiality and intellectual property rights, with all investigation materials becoming the property of SABS.
