Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a professional engineering service provider for the design of gravel roads and monitoring of the implementation of multi-phase projects within AbaQulusi Municipality. The successful bidder will deliver professional engineering services related to the renewal, repair, and refurbishment of specified gravel roads across various wards, ensuring quality and adherence to industry standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes providing comprehensive professional engineering services for the multi-phase projects involving:

• Design and detailed planning of gravel roads (including preliminary and final design drawings).
• Provision of landscaping, stormwater control, stormwater pipe installation, and headwalls where necessary.
• Management of the project from inception to closeout, including monthly progress reports and close-out documentation.
• Specific projects include repairs and refurbishments of roads in wards 13, 19, 18, 16, 6, 21, 17, 23, and 1, among others, within Abaqulusi Municipality.
• Preparation of close-out reports and environmental compliance documentation, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the service provider must:

• Deliver detailed design drawings on A1 paper size and soft copies.
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards and are of acceptable quality.
• Provide landscaping and stormwater management solutions for each project.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation monitoring, and closeout reporting.
• Compile all necessary environmental compliance documents, including EIAs.
• Meet minimum qualification and experience criteria, including relevant project experience and key personnel CVs.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in managing and delivering similar gravel road projects within the built environment or construction engineering sectors.
