  8. Preparing a phased, multi-year implementation plan with timelines and budget alignment.
  9. Conducting public participation and stakeholder consultation processes.

Technical Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in human settlements development, especially informal settlements upgrading, with at least 10 years in the field.

  • Capacity to undertake stakeholder engagement, public participation, and community empowerment activities.
  • Technical expertise in urban planning, civil engineering, GIS, environmental assessment, land surveying, and social facilitation.
  • Ability to produce GIS-based maps, reports, and data analysis compatible with standard software (e.g., CAD, GIS tools).

  • Insurance coverage including Professional Indemnity Insurance of at least R1 million.
