Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint qualified service providers to initiate disciplinary matters outside the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS), including preparing disciplinary prescripts, representing SABS during hearings, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislative frameworks within stipulated timeframes.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Initiating disciplinary proceedings outside the SABS framework.
• Preparing disciplinary prescripts and documentation.
• Representing SABS during disciplinary hearings and appeals.
• Ensuring adherence to SABS disciplinary policies and relevant legislative requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Qualifications of service providers, with admitted attorneys being an advantage.
• Experience in initiating disciplinary hearings and handling appeals, with a minimum of 3 years and up to 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Provision of detailed CVs indicating specific experience in initiating disciplinary hearings, appeals, and labor law dispute resolution.
• Demonstrated experience in handling disciplinary matters, appeals, and labor relations disputes, supported by relevant references and documentation.
• Compliance with functionality scoring criteria, including company experience and individual expertise in disciplinary and appeal hearings.

Skills Requirements

The skills and expertise required include:

• Legal expertise in disciplinary procedures, legislative compliance, and labor law.
• Proven experience in initiating disciplinary hearings and appeals, with specific examples and relevant CVs.
• Ability to prepare disciplinary prescripts and documentation within specified timeframes.
• Representation skills for disciplinary hearings and appeals, demonstrating understanding of relevant policies and legislative frameworks.
