  • Prepare the 2025-2026 Annual Compliance Report.
  • Develop training materials to facilitate implementation of the CEIMP.
  • Produce project hand-over and close-out reports, including data and activity documentation.

Technical Requirements

  • Review relevant legislation, policies, and international literature to underpin the updates.
  • Develop and utilize a screening tool for impact assessments (EIA/WUL/WML/AL).
  • Ensure all deliverables are aligned with NEMA Chapter 3, intergovernmental relations, and departmental mandates.
  • Prepare comprehensive work plans, including timelines, stakeholder engagement strategies, and communication plans.
  • Use GIS tools and produce GIS data in ArcView Shape File format (*.shp).
  • Ensure all reports and data are property of the Department and confidential.

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Environmental Management/Sciences Qualification: Minimum NQF Level 8 for the Team Leader; Level 7 for other team members. Certified copies of qualifications must be provided.
  • Post-Qualification Experience:
    • Team Leader: Minimum 10 years in environmental management, policy formulation, impact assessments, and project management.
    • Other team members: Minimum 5 years in relevant environmental sciences or management fields.
  • Specialist Skills: Experience in environmental planning, impact assessments, GIS applications, public participation, and development of environmental instruments.
  • References: At least five (5) signed reference letters from previous clients, demonstrating successful project delivery.
  • Additional Skills: Ability to transfer skills to departmental officials, develop training materials, and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
