Skills and Experience Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in electrical infrastructure projects, particularly electrification, within the last 5 years, supported by appointment letters and completion certificates.
  • Qualified professional staff, including:
    • Project Leader with a B Tech or B.Sc in Electrical Engineering (Min. NQF 7), registered with ECSA, with at least 5 years’ experience.
    • Site Construction Manager with a N.Dip in Electrical Engineering (Min. NQF 6 or N6), with at least 3 years’ experience and trade test certification.
    • Foremen with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in electrification projects, certified for overhead lines, and possessing HVREGS/Permit certificates.
  • Provision of plant ownership or lease agreements, with proof of ownership or local sourcing where applicable.
  • Financial stability evidenced by recent annual financial statements.
  • Compliance with CIDB registration at contractor grading level 3EP or higher.
  • Ability to meet all technical, safety, and environmental standards as specified.
  • Demonstrated capacity to deliver within the project timeline and budget.
