Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to facilitate the construction and subsequent removal of the midblock sewer on Quint Street, ensuring effective sewer infrastructure management within the Breede Valley Municipality.

Scope

The scope of work includes the construction activities related to the removal of the existing sewer infrastructure at the Quint Street midblock. This encompasses site preparation, construction, and site clearance post-completion. The project also involves site visits, technical assessments, and adherence to specified standards and specifications as detailed in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

• Only tenders from contractors registered with the CIDB at a grading of 6CE or higher, or capable of registration prior to tender evaluation.
• Compliance with the detailed specifications and scope of works provided in the tender documents.
• Participation in a compulsory clarification meeting scheduled for 2 July 2026, to discuss tender specifications, scope, and execution expectations.
• Submission of sealed tender offers clearly marked with the bid number and description.
• Adherence to the Municipal Supply Chain Management Policy and relevant procurement regulations.
• Evaluation based on the 80/20 preference point system, considering both price and preference criteria.
