Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to outsource a service provider responsible for the supply, delivery, installation, and maintenance of an integrated security system comprising alarms, access control, and CCTV surveillance at the DOD Logistic Support Formation Unit in Gauteng. The service provider will also be responsible for a maintenance plan spanning three years to ensure continuous operational effectiveness of the security infrastructure.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply of security system components including IP cameras (dome, bullet, PTZ), magnetic locks, biometric and RF readers, door controllers, wireless PIR sensors, GSM modules, switches, and related cabling.
• Delivery and installation of all hardware at the specified location: 408 Maitland Ave, Zwartkop, Centurion.
• Provision of control room equipment such as central VMS, licenses, backup systems, and monitors.
• Commissioning of the entire security system ensuring full operational capability.
• Provision of a three-year maintenance plan covering all installed equipment, including repairs, replacements, and support services.

• CAT6E solid copper cabling (500m)
• COMS cable (500m)
• Magnetic lock (300kg) with LED indicator
• Biometric and RF access readers
• Door controllers with power supplies
• Wireless PIR sensors (12m range)
• GSM wireless modules, panels, keypads, sirens, batteries, and transmitters
• Copper Ethernet switches with 24 POE+ ports and 4 10GbE SFP uplink ports
• Control room equipment including central VMS, licenses, backup power (5KVA), and monitors
• Security and access control hardware compliant with specified standards

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in installing and maintaining integrated CCTV, alarm, and access control systems.
• Technical expertise in configuring IP-based surveillance and security systems.
• Capability to deliver and install hardware components as per specifications.
• Ability to provide comprehensive maintenance and support services over the three-year period.
• Qualified personnel with relevant certifications, including security licensing (e.g., PSIRA registration), wiring licenses, and technical certifications for network and security systems.
• Experience in working within government or military security environments.
