Objectives

The primary objectives of this tender are to procure services for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of laundry and kitchen equipment at the Excelsior CYCC over a 12-month period, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with relevant health and safety standards. Additionally, the project aims to promote safety awareness, environmental management, and capacity building among contractors and site personnel.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Service, repairs, and maintenance of laundry and kitchen equipment as specified in the scope of works document.
• Provision of standby plant, uninterruptible power supplies, X-ray units, walk-through detectors, paraplegic lifts, air-conditioning and ventilation systems, and other specified equipment.
• Implementation of HIV/AIDS awareness and safety programs as per the specifications.
• Site inspection, safety, health, and environmental management, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety planning.
• Provision of site facilities, permits, and compliance with legal and safety regulations.
• Coordination of site activities, documentation, and reporting as per contractual and safety requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Adherence to the scope of works, specifications, and drawings provided in the tender documentation.
• Provision of detailed equipment schedules, technical data, and compliance reports for all equipment involved.
• Implementation of HIV/AIDS awareness programs, safety plans, and environmental management plans.
• Provision of necessary insurances, securities, and compliance with the JBCC Minor Works Agreement conditions.
• Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, including hazard management, PPE, permits, and site safety protocols.
• Regular site inspections, safety audits, and reporting in accordance with the specifications.

Skills and Competencies Requirements

The tenderer and their team must possess:

• Valid CIDB registration in a minimum of 1ME or higher class of construction work.
• Relevant technical qualifications and experience in servicing and maintaining laundry and kitchen equipment.
• Demonstrated capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with adequate resources and personnel.
• Proven safety, health, and environmental management capabilities, including trained safety officers and safety plans.
• Experience in HIV/AIDS awareness programs and compliance reporting.
• Financial stability and capacity to execute the contract, supported by relevant declarations and proof of good standing.
• Capability to provide all necessary insurances, bonds, and securities as specified.
• Ability to comply with all legal, safety, and environmental regulations, including permits and site-specific safety protocols.
