Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish an enabling agreement for the disposal of various types of mixed scrap ferrous metals, including steel, sub-grade steel, CTs, VTs, steel cages, porcelain, rubber, insulators, isolators, and line hardware. The agreement aims to facilitate the efficient and timely disposal of these materials as and when they become available over the contract period.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses the provision of disposal services for the specified mixed scrap ferrous metals at Arnot Power Station. The agreement will be valid for a period of 36 months (3 years), starting from 15 February 2026 and concluding on 14 February 2029. The services include handling, collection, and disposal of the designated scrap materials as they are generated during the contract period.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of disposal services for a range of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials, including steel, porcelain, rubber, insulators, isolators, and line hardware.
• Operational readiness to handle materials as and when they become available at Arnot PS.
• Compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards during disposal activities.
• Efficient coordination and communication to ensure timely collection and disposal of scrap materials.

Skills Requirements

• Understanding of e-tendering processes and the ability to operate the e-tendering solution effectively.
• Self-training or familiarity with the e-tendering platform, including completion of the e-Tendering Noddy Guide or video tutorials.
• Ability to complete and submit mandatory documentation accurately and within prescribed timelines.
• Competence in managing contractual and operational aspects related to scrap disposal services.
