Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a qualified service provider to deliver Due Diligence Project Preparation Training to 15 delegates. The training aims to upskill staff on the fundamental and critical aspects of conducting project due diligence for financing purposes, supporting the Kwazulu-Natal Growth Fund Agency’s (KZNGFA) mandate to promote economic development and job creation within KwaZulu-Natal.

Scope

The scope of services includes:

• Providing Due Diligence Training covering multiple modules such as risk assessment, viability assessments (technical and operational), security structure development, and analysis.
• Including modules on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Community Engagement processes.
• Structuring training content relevant to KZNGFA’s investment processes and limitations.
• Interacting with attendees to address challenges and facilitate understanding.
• Submitting reference letters from similar work within the past 5 years and short resumes of the facilitator(s) demonstrating relevant experience and qualifications.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the training include:

• Development of a detailed course outline for the training modules.
• Provision of at least four reference letters on client letterhead, signed and dated, for similar projects conducted within 5 years.
• Facilitator(s) must have relevant experience in project due diligence training, evidenced by brief CVs.
• Facilitator(s) must possess relevant qualifications, with proof attached.
• The training should be delivered in a manner that allows interaction and assistance to attendees.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service provider and facilitator include:

• Proven experience in conducting project due diligence training and related work, with references.
• Relevant technical expertise in risk assessment, viability analysis, security structuring, and environmental/community engagement processes.
• Ability to develop comprehensive training modules tailored to the organization’s investment context.
• Strong facilitation skills to interact effectively with delegates and address challenges during training.
• Qualifications demonstrating the facilitator’s expertise, such as relevant academic or professional certifications.
