Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a contractual agreement for the provision of milling plant maintenance services at Camden Power Station. The services are to be delivered on an "as and when required" basis over a period of 36 months, ensuring continuous operational support and maintenance of milling equipment to meet Eskom’s operational needs.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of milling plant maintenance services at Camden Power Station.
• Services to be performed on an "as and when required" basis throughout the 36-month contract period.
• Adherence to specified technical, safety, and environmental standards as detailed in the Service Information and associated documents.
• Management of maintenance activities, including planning, execution, and reporting, in accordance with the contract documentation.
• Coordination with Eskom’s operational and safety protocols, including site access, safety inductions, and security procedures.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Compliance with the NEC3 Term Service Contract (TSC3) conditions, including core clauses and specific options such as Price Adjustment, Dispute Resolution, and Liability limitations.
• Provision of qualified personnel with verified skills and certifications, including safety training and health & safety compliance.
• Use of approved equipment, plant, and materials, with proper records of equipment provided by the Employer and those supplied by the Contractor.
• Implementation of health, safety, environmental, and quality assurance measures, including safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
• Adherence to Eskom’s safety rules, including appointment of safety representatives, safety inspections, and reporting of incidents within specified timeframes.
• Provision of detailed work plans, including schedules, task programmes, and progress reports, within specified timeframes.
• Insurance coverage as specified, including liability, damage, and occupational risks, with minimum coverage limits.
• Compliance with environmental regulations, waste management, and hazardous substances handling as per Eskom’s policies.
• Coordination of site access, permits, and security procedures, including submission of personnel and equipment lists prior to site entry.
• Provision of accurate invoicing, record-keeping, and documentation in accordance with Eskom’s procedures and contractual obligations.
