Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver sheet gaskets at Camden Power Station over a period of 48 months, on an as-and-when-required basis. The tender aims to ensure a reliable supply chain for sheet gaskets, complying with environmental and technical standards, while meeting the operational needs of Camden Power Station.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of sheet gaskets to Camden Power Station.
• Adherence to environmental requirements, including waste management, environmental policies, and compliance with relevant legislation.
• Provision of necessary documentation such as environmental management plans, risk assessments, and safety data sheets.
• Engagement with Eskom contract management and compliance with specified environmental and legal standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Provision of environmental policies and management plans aligned with ISO 14001:2015 and applicable South African environmental legislation.
• Implementation of waste management programs, including waste stream identification, storage, disposal, and recycling procedures.
• Preparation of environmental risk assessments, method statements, and proof of employee environmental training.
• Maintenance of a hazardous substances register and provision of Safety Data Sheets for hazardous materials.
• Completion of environmental impact assessment forms as per EIA regulations.

Skills Requirements

The skills and competencies required for bidders include:

• Environmental management expertise, including knowledge of ISO 14001 standards and South African environmental legislation.
• Experience in waste management and hazardous materials handling.
• Ability to prepare and submit environmental management plans, risk assessments, and safety documentation.
• Compliance monitoring and reporting skills.
• Effective communication and coordination with Eskom and other stakeholders.
