Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver date stamps to PRASA Rail KZN for a period of thirty-six months on an as-and-when-required basis. The aim is to ensure the continuous availability of specified date stamps to meet operational needs over the contract duration.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of various types of self-ink date stamps, including logo and user details stamps, in multiple sizes and configurations as specified in the technical specifications.
• Delivery of the date stamps to PRASA's main warehouse in Springfield, KZN, at the supplier's cost.
• Supply of products with a minimum 12-month warranty.
• Adherence to specified specifications, including ink color, size, and design features.
• Provision of related accessories such as round stamps and commission of oath date stamps as detailed in the bill of quantities.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the date stamps include:

• Self-ink date stamps with up to 6 lines of text.
• Variants with PRASA and RASA logos, in black and red ink.
• Size options including 50mm – 30mm, 57mm – 21mm, 73mm – 35mm, 67mm – 27mm, 78mm – 23mm, 58mm – 38mm, and smaller diameters for round stamps.
• Die-based stamps with specific dimensions as listed in the specifications.
• Products must be supplied with a 12-month warranty.
• Materials must be compliant with the specified quality standards and designed for durability and clarity.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Bidder qualifications and skills requirements include:

• Proof of registration on the National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Compliance with tax obligations, including submission of Tax Compliance Status (TCS) or PIN certificates.
• Evidence of relevant experience in manufacturing or supplying similar self-ink stamps, preferably with references or past performance records.
• Certification of B-BBEE status at level 2 or higher, with supporting documentation.
• Capability to produce products that meet the technical specifications, including design, ink quality, and durability.
• Ability to deliver within the specified delivery period and to provide after-sales support, including warranty services.
• Legal and financial stability to undertake the contract, including signing authority and relevant company or partnership documentation.
