Objectives

The primary objectives of this tender are to solicit formal quotations for various services and supplies required by the municipality, including comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) risk assessments, supply and delivery of balance equilibrium valves, slurry work, road marking, barcode supplies, and hydraulic valve parts. The aim is to procure quality services and products through competitive bidding processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses:

• Provision of comprehensive OHS risk assessments.
• Supply and delivery of balance equilibrium valves with arms and balls.
• Contracted slurry work for Oudtshoorn Municipality over a period of 6 months.
• Road marking services for Oudtshoorn Municipality for a 6-month period.
• Supply and delivery of barcode labels for a one-year period.
• Supply and delivery of spare inner parts for hydraulic automatic level valves.

The services and supplies are to be delivered within specified durations, with some contracts spanning six months and others on a once-off basis, depending on the specific requirement.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Compliance with CIDB grading requirements (e.g., 1CE or higher for slurry work, 1SK or higher for road marking).
• Adherence to local content and B-BBEE status requirements.
• Provision of rates and quotations that do not exceed specified maximum amounts (e.g., R300,000).
• Demonstration of compliance with procurement standards, including non-involvement of family members in service of the state where applicable.
• Delivery of quality products/services as per technical specifications, such as hydraulic parts and barcode labels.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications expected from bidders include:
