Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of Crystal Habit Modifier (CHM) for the Reaction Section at the Phosphoric Acid Plant for a period of thirty-six (36) months. The goal is to ensure the consistent quality and performance of CHM to optimize gypsum crystal shape, improve filtration efficiency, and enhance phosphoric acid recovery, thereby maintaining optimal plant operation and environmental standards.

Scope

Refer to Annexure A for detailed scope of work, which includes:

• Supply of Crystal Habit Modifiers (CHM) within specified quality parameters.
• Delivery of CHM to the designated site at the specified schedule.
• Ensuring the quality and consistency of the supplied CHM to facilitate optimal crystal shape control.
• Adherence to environmental policies related to waste disposal, recycling, and energy conservation.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications and evaluation criteria are detailed in Annexure B and Annexure C, including:

• Certificate of Product Analysis confirming adherence to specifications.
• Certificate of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Hazmat compliance.
• Sample submission of CHM for analysis.
• Delivery lead times not exceeding 24 hours from order receipt.
• Manufacturing capacity aligned with a demand of 300 tons of CHM per month.
• Compliance with applicable standards, including South African National Standards (SANS).
• Environmental and safety compliance, including hazardous materials handling.

Skills and Skills Requirements

The supplier must demonstrate:

• Technical expertise in chemical supply, particularly in crystal habit modifiers.
• Quality assurance capabilities, including certification and testing procedures.
• Manufacturing capacity to meet the monthly demand of 300 tons.
• Experience in handling hazardous chemicals safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Environmental management policies aligned with sustainability goals.
• Logistical capabilities for prompt delivery and offloading at the site.
• Ability to provide technical and safety documentation, including SDS and compliance certificates.
