Skills Requirements

  • Proven experience in operating and maintaining water and wastewater treatment plants of similar capacity and complexity.
  • Qualified personnel including:
    • Class V Process Controller (Plant Supervisor)
    • Class III Process Controllers (Water Treatment)
    • Class II Process Controllers (Wastewater Treatment)
    • General workers with relevant training and experience
  • Competence in chemical handling, laboratory testing, and process control.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and environmental regulations (Water Act, SANS 241, Occupational Health & Safety).
  • Ability to maintain detailed records, compile reports, and ensure compliance with Green Drop and other regulatory standards.
  • Experience in groundskeeping and general maintenance of treatment plant facilities.
  • Capacity to respond promptly to breakdowns, emergencies, and non-compliance issues.
