Objectives

Scope

• Purchase of the scrap 120 MVA transformer (without oil) at Acacia Power Station.
• Inspection and viewing of the transformer, which is a compulsory step prior to tender submission.
• Safe collection, handling, transportation, and removal of the transformer by the buyer.
• Site cleanup after removal, ensuring no debris or rubble remains.
• Responsibility for the safe use of qualified labor, certified equipment, and transportation means.
• Payment to Eskom within five days of the sale, with equipment release contingent upon receipt of payment and necessary permits.

Technical Requirements

The technical evaluation will focus on:

• Demonstration of technical capability to manage and process the project quantities.
• Adherence to safety standards and environmental legislation during removal and handling.
• Provision of appropriate equipment, machinery, and qualified personnel for dismantling and transportation.
• Site inspection and site visit participation as part of the evaluation process.

Skills Requirements
