Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to select a qualified service provider to supply cleaning services for the Kimberley Family Law Centre over a period of 36 months. The services include comprehensive cleaning of the premises, provision of cleaning materials and equipment, and ensuring hygiene standards are maintained throughout the contract duration.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of cleaning services for approximately 1,045.35m² of the Kimberley Family Law Centre, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly cleaning tasks. It involves cleaning of floors, surfaces, toilets, windows, and other facilities, as well as the supply and maintenance of cleaning materials, disinfectants, and hygiene equipment. The contract covers all aspects necessary to maintain a hygienic and clean environment in the building for 36 months.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of cleaning services on weekdays excluding public holidays, with arrangements for specific times.
• Daily disinfection of floors, doorknobs, toilets, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Vacuuming, polishing, and cleaning of carpets, floors, and surfaces weekly and quarterly as specified.
• Provision and maintenance of hygiene equipment such as touch-free dispensers, bins, and sanitizers, with regular servicing.
• Supply of all cleaning materials, disinfectants, and consumables, including toilet paper, hand soap, and disinfectant wipes.
• Adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Compliance with all relevant legislation and departmental policies, including COVID-19 protocols.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• Experience in providing cleaning services for similar-sized facilities, with proof of completed projects within the last 10 years.
• Provision of a qualified supervisor with relevant experience, supported by a CV and certified ID, with minimum 1-year experience for lower points or 5+ years for higher points.
• Demonstrated ability to supply and maintain hygiene and cleaning equipment, with proof of previous service and maintenance.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including proper chemical handling and use of PPE.
• Compliance with BBBEE requirements, including submission of valid SANAS-accredited BBBEE certificates or sworn affidavits.
• Ability to provide a comprehensive project team, including supervisors and cleaners, with relevant qualifications and experience.
