Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Lee Filters or equivalent products, ensuring the supply and delivery of specified lighting filters suitable for theatrical and stage lighting applications.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply and delivery of Lee Filters or equivalent as specified in the technical specifications.
• Source products from https://leefilters.com/ or approved equivalents.
• Deliver the products to the specified address: 231 Anton Lembede Street, Durban.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include the provision of various filters with specific colour effects and correction properties, such as:

• L009 – Pale Amber Gold: warm pale amber/gold for soft sunlight and stage wash effects.
• L158 – Deep Orange: saturated orange for warm stage looks and sunset effects.
• L106 – Primary Red: bold primary red for dramatic lighting.
• L147 – Apricot: soft warm apricot for skin-tone warmth.
• L201 – Full C.T. Blue: colour-temperature correction towards daylight balance.
• L202 – Half C.T. Blue: partial cooling of tungsten light.
• L151 – Gold Tint: subtle gold tint for warming and highlights.
• L161 – Slate Blue: cool blue-grey for moonlight and night ambience.
• L110 – Middle Rose: medium rose for pink washes.
• L715 – Cabana Blue: vivid blue for saturated washes.
• L363 – Special Medium Blue: cool atmosphere and night scenes.
• L068 – Sky Blue: light blue for daylight ambience.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Applicants must meet the following skills and qualification criteria:

• Registered with the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a report not older than 30 days reflecting compliant tax status.
• Provide a detailed pricing schedule inclusive of VAT.
• Submit a valid BEE affidavit or SANAS approved certificate.
• Complete and sign the SBD 4 declaration form.
• Demonstrate experience in supplying theatrical lighting filters or similar products.
• Possess the capacity to supply the required quantity (4 full sheets per filter type).

Additional Conditions

Other conditions include:

• Quotations must be valid for at least 30 days from the closing date.
• Pricing must be detailed and inclusive of VAT.
• Preference points will be allocated based on ownership criteria (Black ownership, Women, Youth, Disabled, SMME/QSE/EME) with a total of 20 points available under the 80/20 evaluation system.
• Bidder disclosures regarding employment and related enterprise interests must be completed.
