Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure a contractor for the maintenance of Moutse Traffic Station during a one-off period. The successful bidder will be responsible for repairs, maintenance, and associated works as specified in the Bill of Quantities, ensuring the station remains functional and compliant with relevant standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Carrying out maintenance, repairs, and alterations as detailed in the various Bills of Quantities, including building, roofing, carpentry, joinery, ceilings, glazing, paintwork, plumbing, and drainage.
• Removal of existing work, protection of structures, and making good finishes.
• Provision of temporary works, site facilities, and safety measures.
• Execution of specific works such as roof coverings, wall insulation, door and window repairs, and installation of fire appliances.
• Adherence to specific preliminary requirements, health and safety regulations, environmental considerations, and quality standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Compliance with the JBCC Series 2000 Principal Building Agreement (Edition 4.1) and associated preambles.
• Adherence to the specifications for materials, workmanship, and construction methods as detailed in the Bills of Quantities and supplementary preambles.
• Provision of proper site management, safety, environmental protection, and quality control measures.
• Implementation of approved construction programmes, progress monitoring, and timely completion.
• Provision of necessary insurances, guarantees, and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Coordination with other contractors and stakeholders, including school authorities for site access and security.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

The bidder must:

• Have a contractor grading designation of 1GB or higher as issued by the CIDB.
• Possess relevant experience in maintenance and construction works similar in scope and complexity.
• Provide proof of CIDB registration and a valid CIDB grading certificate.
• Demonstrate capacity to execute the scope within the stipulated timeframe, including adequate personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Have a proven track record of compliance with health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality assurance.
• Submit necessary documentation such as company registration, tax compliance, and relevant certifications.
• Show capability to manage subcontractors and suppliers effectively.
