Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a qualified service provider to conduct medical examinations for Siyancuma Local Municipality employees in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. The services are to be provided over a period of three years, ensuring the health and safety of municipal staff through regular occupational health assessments.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of comprehensive medical examinations for employees as per occupational health standards.
• Conducting assessments for occupational health practitioners, nurses, and specialists with relevant experience and qualifications.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant occupational health regulations and standards.
• Delivering both soft and hard copies of reports and documentation as required.
• Supporting the municipality in achieving specific goals related to ownership and local presence.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Demonstrated previous experience in occupational health services, with proof via purchase orders, reference letters, or appointment letters (30 points).
• Qualified key personnel, including occupational health practitioners, medical doctors, and nurses, with relevant certifications and experience (60 points for experience and 20 points for qualifications).
• Occupational health practitioners/medical doctors must possess relevant qualifications, professional registration, and demonstrate capacity through CVs and experience (10 points).
• Occupational health nurses must have appropriate qualifications, registration, and experience (10 points).
• Experience in occupational health, with a preference for 1-5 years in the field (5 points).
• Provision of comprehensive CVs for all key personnel involved.
• Adherence to specific goals related to ownership (HDI, % Black, % Women, % Disability) and locality within Siyancuma Municipality or Northern Cape, supported by certified declarations and documentation.

Skills Requirements

The skills requirements focus on:

• Proven experience and track record in occupational health and safety services.
• Qualified and experienced occupational health practitioners, medical doctors, and nurses.
• Ability to demonstrate capacity through CVs and relevant experience in similar projects.
• Knowledge of occupational health standards and regulations.
• Capacity to meet specific ownership and locality goals, supported by certified documentation.
