Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a training provider to deliver an Microsoft Excel Intermediate Course that equips learners with the skills to prepare, customize, work with multiple worksheets, apply formulas and functions, format spreadsheets, use special effects, and evaluate spreadsheets to meet specific problem-solving needs. The course aims to ensure participants achieve competency as per the specified Unit Standard, culminating in a certificate of competence.

Scope

The scope of the service includes:

• Provision of a Microsoft Excel Intermediate training course over a duration of 5 days.
• Delivery at the specified venue: The Presidency, Union Buildings, Government Avenue, Pretoria.
• Supply of all necessary course materials.
• Inclusion of venue and catering arrangements.
• Training aligned with the Unit Standard: Microsoft Intermediate Excel (NQF Level 3, 6 Credits).
• Evaluation of participants to ensure competency and issuance of certificates.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• The training provider must be accredited with the Education and Training Quality Assurance (ETQA) body, with proof of accreditation provided.
• All course materials must be supplied by the provider.
• The course must cover the following outcomes:
• Creating and producing spreadsheets to solve problems.
• Customizing spreadsheet views and preferences.
• Working with multiple worksheets.
• Applying formulas and built-in functions.
• Formatting spreadsheets appropriately.
• Using special effects to enhance presentation.
• Evaluating spreadsheets for correctness and compliance.
• All quotations must be submitted via the e-Tender system, with completed SBD 4 forms.
• Quotations must be valid for 90 days or as specified, and submitted before the closing date.
• Bidder registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) is mandatory.

Skills Requirements

The skills requirements for the successful bidder include:

• Proven accreditation with ETQA for training delivery.
• Capability to deliver a comprehensive Microsoft Excel Intermediate course aligned with the specified Unit Standard.
• Experience in providing training that results in learners achieving competency and certification.
• Ability to supply all necessary course materials and facilitate a suitable training environment.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including submission of all required documentation such as tax compliance, banking details, and CSD registration.
