Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a panel of qualified service providers to supply a broad range of branded goods to the South African National Space Agency (SANSA). The panel aims to facilitate procurement of high-quality, durable, and customized branded items across three categories: executive and premium gifts, facility and promotional items, and corporate/workwear apparel. The overarching goal is to support SANSA’s branding, promotional, and operational needs over a three-year period, ensuring timely delivery to multiple sites and events.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of branded goods across three main categories:

• Executive and Premium Branded Gifts: High-end, custom-designed items such as memorabilia, glass, brass, leather, and crystal products for VIP engagements and corporate gifting.
• Facility, Promotional, and Science Engagement Items: Everyday branded items for internal use, events, outreach, and stakeholder engagement, including signage, stationery, and promotional accessories.
• Branded Corporate and Workwear Apparel: Branded clothing and accessories for operational and promotional purposes, including shirts, caps, and other apparel.

The panel will consist of up to 10 service providers, selected based on functionality and pricing criteria, capable of delivering to SANSA’s multiple sites across South Africa, including future sites and external event locations. The contract duration is three years, with procurement via a competitive process from the panel.

Technical Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in designing, sourcing, manufacturing, or sourcing high-quality branded items aligned with SANSA’s brand standards.
• Ability to produce or source customized, durable, and space-themed memorabilia and branded products.
• Capability to deliver branded goods across all SANSA locations and external sites, including timely and reliable logistics.
• Provision of samples and adherence to timelines and sample quality standards.
• Compliance with SANSA’s branding guidelines and communication protocols prior to production.
• Provision of a comprehensive portfolio demonstrating experience across all three categories.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in producing and sourcing branded corporate gifts, promotional items, and apparel.
• Design and branding expertise, especially for high-end memorabilia and space-themed products.
• Operational capacity to manage multiple delivery sites and large-scale orders within specified timeframes.
• Strong project management and communication skills to coordinate with SANSA’s communications team and ensure sample approval before mass production.
• Ability to provide references and demonstrate past performance in similar projects.
• Compliance with legal, quality, and safety standards, including POPIA and other relevant legislation.
