Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a panel of qualified service providers to deliver catering and décor services to the W&RSETA headquarters and provincial offices for a period of 36 months. The services aim to support various events, meetings, and functions by providing high-quality catering and décor solutions that meet the organization's standards and specific requirements.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Catering Services: Providing food and beverage services for daily functions and special events, accommodating all dietary, religious, and cultural requirements. This includes preparing food according to industry standards, maintaining hygiene, and supplying necessary catering equipment. Services cover day-to-day catering, high-end events, and regional office functions, with provisions for food tasting and site visits for shortlisted bidders.
• Décor Services: Designing, implementing, and fabricating venue décor as per approved themes and plans. Responsibilities include overseeing setup, breakdown, and logistics, ensuring alignment with the event theme, and coordinating conference and meeting room arrangements. Décor services also involve supervision of venue transformation, theme consistency, and obtaining prior approval from W&RSETA.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• All catering must adhere to hygiene standards as per Government Notice R638 of 22 June 2018, with valid certificates of acceptability.
• Proposals must include arrangements for special dietary, religious, and cultural needs, with evidence of compliance.
• Décor services must align with approved themes, designs, and specifications, with prior approval from W&RSETA.
• Service providers must demonstrate capacity to deliver large quantities of food and décor solutions in hygienic and environmentally safe manners, especially for regional and off-site events.
• Participation in food tasting sessions and site inspections may be required for shortlisted bidders.

Skills Requirements

The tender requires bidders to possess:
