Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a panel of contractors who will be engaged on an “as and when” required basis over a period of three (03) years. The contractors will provide services across various grades (3 – 9) as needed by JB Marks Local Municipality, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in procurement and service delivery.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses the appointment of multiple contractors to supply goods and/or services on an “as and when” basis for a duration of three years. The services and supplies will be required across different grades (3 – 9), with the specific needs to be determined by the municipality as required throughout the contract period.

Technical Requirements

• Submission of tenders in accordance with the specified rules, including deposit in the designated tender box.
• Inclusion of VAT in all prices quoted.
• Compliance with the prerequisites outlined in the tender documentation; tenders not meeting these will be disqualified.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) via https://secure.csd.gov.za.
• Adherence to evaluation criteria based on the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (Act 5 of 2000), Regulations 2022, with 80 points allocated for price and 20 points for specific goals.

Skills Requirements

• Ability to comply with procurement procedures and submission rules.
• Capability to provide services or supplies across multiple grades (3 – 9) as required.
• Understanding of the municipal procurement policies and regulations.
• Competence in registering and maintaining supplier information on the Central Supplier Database.
• Effective communication skills for inquiries related to bidding procedures and specifications, directed to designated contacts.
