Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a qualified service provider to undertake paving of side parkings along Merriman Street, ensuring durable and compliant paving works that meet municipal standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Construction of concrete paved roads and parking areas at Merriman Street.
• Provision of all necessary construction equipment and tools, including TLB, tipper truck, and site bakkie.
• Compliance with health and safety standards during construction.
• Submission of relevant experience and professional qualifications of key personnel.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Proof of successful completion of at least two (2) concrete paved roads construction projects, supported by completion certificates and appointment letters.
• Key personnel qualifications:
  • Site Agent/Project Manager: National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with at least 1-year experience in concrete paving projects.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Officer: Grade 12 or equivalent, with an Occupational Health and Safety certificate and at least 1-year experience.
• Provision of detailed CVs with certified copies of professional qualifications (not older than 6 months).
• Availability of construction equipment: TLB, Tipper Truck, and Site Bakkie, with proof of registration or signed lease agreements.
• Valid CIDB grading of 3CE or higher.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in concrete paved roads construction projects, demonstrated through previous completed projects.
• Qualified personnel with relevant academic and professional certifications.
• Occupational Health and Safety compliance expertise.
