Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a de-ionised water making machine that meets specified laboratory standards. The machine should produce high-purity, pyrogen-free double-distilled water suitable for microbiology, molecular biology, media preparation, and reagent preparation, ensuring compliance with laboratory quality requirements.

Scope

The scope includes the supply of one fully automatic, cabinet-style de-ionised water making machine with the following features:

• Production capacity of approximately 4 litres per hour, totaling about 32 litres over an 8-hour workday.
• Specifications as attached, including features like double-distillation purification, pyrogen-free output, and high-quality borosilicate glass components.
• Provision of accessories such as reservoir level sensors, hose connection kits, funnel assemblies, power cords, wall mounting brackets, and 2x 25L bottles with taps.
• Delivery, installation, user training, and a minimum warranty of 1 year.

Technical Requirements

The machine must meet the following technical specifications:

• Fully automatic operation with cabinet enclosure.
• Double-distillation purification system producing pyrogen-free water.
• Water quality parameters: resistivity of 0.7–1.0 MΩ·cm, conductivity of 1.0–1.5 μS/cm, pH range 5.0–6.5.
• Components: high-quality borosilicate glass distillation parts, silica-sheathed heating elements, corrosion-resistant cabinet, PTFE drain stopcock, high-efficiency condenser system, flow sensors, over-temperature and overheating protection.
• Operation features: automatic reservoir level sensing, automatic heater shutoff, restart capabilities, low cooling-water flow protection, and safety screens.
• Dimensions: approximately 55 cm (W) x 41 cm (H) x 24 cm (D); weight approximately 35 kg.
• Operates directly from raw tap water supply.

Skills and Skills Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate:

• Experience in supplying and installing laboratory water purification systems.
• Capability to provide installation, commissioning, and user training.
• Provision of comprehensive warranty and after-sales service, including maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to supply all accessories and ensure proper integration with existing laboratory infrastructure.
• Compliance with biosafety and laboratory safety protocols, especially for delivery personnel entering BSL-3 containment facilities.
• Submission of relevant documentation, including CSD registration, warranty details, and proof of relevant experience.
