Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a dog cage suitable for the K-9 unit at Lebombo Post, ensuring the safety, comfort, and operational effectiveness of the service dogs.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply, delivery, and installation of a specifically designed dog cage that meets the technical specifications outlined in the tender documents. It includes compliance with quality standards, warranty provisions, and related incidental services such as training, maintenance, and documentation.

Technical Requirements

• The dog cage must be lockable, made of durable materials, and suitable for transportation and operational use by the K-9 unit.
• The cage should have appropriate air openings on both sides and a solid wood panel to separate the dogs, with flooring covered with a mat for comfort.
• The cage dimensions should match the vehicle specifications, with full load capacity.
• The product must conform to the standards specified in the bidding documents and specifications.
• The supplier shall provide necessary documentation, including manuals, blueprints, and certificates of compliance.
• The cage must be delivered and installed within the lead time specified, with all costs included in the bid price.
• Warranty period of at least 12 months for defects arising from design, materials, or workmanship.

Skills and Supplier Requirements

• The supplier must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide a valid tax compliance status, including SARS registration PIN or TCS certificate.
• The bidder must submit a B-BBEE status level verification certificate or sworn affidavit to claim preference points.
• The supplier should demonstrate technical capability and experience in manufacturing or supplying similar equipment.
• The bidder must comply with all tax obligations and provide proof of tax compliance.
• The supplier must be able to deliver the product within the specified lead time and provide after-sales support, including maintenance and training if required.
• The bidder should have a valid business registration and relevant certifications to demonstrate capacity and compliance with procurement regulations.
