Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to provide basic hygiene audits and calibration of canteen equipment at Kriel Power Station. The services are to be delivered on an “as and when” required basis over a period of 5 years, ensuring ongoing compliance with hygiene and equipment standards in the canteen facilities.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Conducting basic hygiene audits at the Kriel Power Station canteen.
• Calibration of canteen equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance.
• Provision of services on an “as and when” required basis for a duration of 5 years.

All relevant documents, drawings, and scope details are referenced in Part 3: Scope of Work.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Performing hygiene audits in accordance with the Employer’s standards and regulations.
• Calibrating canteen equipment to meet specified operational and safety standards.
• Adhering to health, safety, and environmental laws, including asbestos management where applicable.
• Compliance with relevant South African legislation, standards, and regulations, including asbestos regulations if asbestos is identified during service provision.
• Provision of accurate documentation, reports, and certificates as required.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Expertise in hygiene auditing and equipment calibration.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to canteen operations and equipment.
• Experience in asbestos management and compliance monitoring (if relevant).
• Ability to conduct audits and calibrations in accordance with South African standards and employer specifications.
• Capability to prepare detailed reports, certificates, and documentation.
• Competence in managing health and safety risks, including asbestos-related procedures.
