Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to provide capacity building interventions for funded non-profit organizations during the 2026/2027 financial year, specifically focusing on resource mobilization training. The aim is to empower NPOs with skills to enhance self-growth, fundraising capabilities, self-dependence, and long-term sustainability.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Delivering a 2-day resource mobilization training program.
• Targeting approximately 500 non-profit organizations across all 12 districts in KwaZulu-Natal.
• Training will be conducted in the language of choice for each district.
• Training sessions will be held at various venues within districts such as Blaabosch Youth Centre, Dundee Public Works, Greytown Civic Centre, and others.
• Participants will include staff and management of funded NPOs, with specific activities and content tailored to enhance resource mobilization skills.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Provision of a comprehensive training program aligned with non-unit standard NQF levels.
• Development and submission of a detailed project plan, including methodology, implementation plan, and course content.
• Facilitators must have relevant qualifications, experience, and at least four CVs demonstrating expertise in resource mobilization and facilitation skills.
• Training materials, manuals, and course content must be relevant and tailored to the needs of funded NPOs.
• Post-training reports and certificates of attendance must be submitted within one month after the training.
• Adherence to language, cultural, and logistical considerations for effective delivery.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service provider include:

• Proven experience in designing and delivering capacity building training, particularly in resource mobilization.
• Ability to train a minimum of 30 participants per session with effective facilitation skills.
• Qualified facilitators with at least a management or commerce qualification at NQF level 6 or higher.
• Demonstrated understanding of the training content, organization, and approach, supported by relevant reference letters.
• Capability to develop and provide training manuals and course materials.
• Experience in working with non-profit organizations and understanding of their operational context.
• Ability to prepare reports, certificates, and conduct post-training evaluations.
