Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure cleaning services and plant maintenance for the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Human Settlements, specifically for the Eagle Building located at 353-356 Dr Pixley Kaseme Street, Durban. The contract aims to ensure the provision of high-quality cleaning and maintenance services over a period of 36 months to maintain the building's cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of comprehensive cleaning services for the Eagle Building.
• Plant maintenance services to ensure operational functionality of relevant equipment and systems.
• Adherence to occupational health and safety standards during service delivery.
• Provision of qualified personnel and necessary resources to execute the services effectively.

The services are to be delivered at the specified location for a duration of 36 months, with the possibility of contract renewal based on performance and departmental requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Submission of a detailed methodology outlining the scope of work, daily tasks, and contingency plans.
• Provision of a company profile with traceable references demonstrating relevant experience, with at least 60% score in evaluation criteria.
• Details of organizational capacity, including an organogram with key personnel such as the Director, Site Manager, Cleaning Supervisor, and staff.
• Curriculum Vitae of key personnel, including proof of training in Occupational Health and Safety, First Aid, Hazardous Training, and Housekeeping.
• Provision of resources and equipment necessary for service delivery, subject to verification by the department.

Skills Requirements

The tender specifies the following skills and qualifications for personnel:

• Key personnel must have relevant training and experience in cleaning and plant maintenance.
• Personnel should be trained in Occupational Health and Safety, First Aid, Hazardous Materials Handling, and Housekeeping.
• Provision of CVs with clear duties and proof of training for all key staff.
