Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a contractual arrangement for the provision of maintenance, repair, and complimentary services on Pf Burners of Units 02, 04, 05, 06, 07, and 10 at Hendrina Power Station. The services are to be rendered on an as-and-when-required basis over a period of five years, ensuring optimal operational performance and safety compliance of the burners.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Maintenance and repair of Pf Burners on specified units (02, 04, 05, 06, 07, & 10).
• Provision of complimentary services related to burner operation and safety.
• Performing inspections, diagnostics, and corrective actions as needed.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and operational standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Adherence to Eskom’s safety and operational standards for burner maintenance.
• Provision of qualified personnel with relevant expertise and certifications.
• Use of approved tools, equipment, and spare parts for repairs and maintenance.
• Implementation of a comprehensive health and safety plan addressing project-specific risks.
• Submission of detailed risk assessments and safety management plans prior to contract award.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Competency in burner maintenance and repair, supported by relevant CVs and qualifications.
• Experience in managing similar projects within power station environments.
• Ability to develop and implement health and safety plans aligned with legal requirements.
• Capability to conduct risk assessments and manage OHS risks effectively.
• Compliance with Eskom’s OHS policies and standards, including submission of necessary documentation such as a valid Letter of Good Standing and signed OHS policy.
