Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a Training Service Provider to develop and deliver training programs focused on preparing and laying pre-cast for block paving. The training aims to build local capacity, enhance skills, and support the growth of small and emerging businesses within the community, fostering sustainable local economic development over a period of three years.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of comprehensive training management and strategic planning for the specified training programs.
• Delivery of basic life support and first aid training.
• Management training on leadership, team management, and strategic planning.
• Technical training on performing basic maintenance and care of engineering hand tools.
• Training on preparing and laying pre-cast for block paving.
• Supporting local entrepreneurs involved in recycling, water purification, waste management, and related sectors.
• Building local economies by fostering innovation and supporting SMEs to operate sustainably and competitively.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Demonstrated capacity to develop and implement training programs aligned with national standards and best practices.
• Experience in delivering training related to construction, engineering, and infrastructure development, specifically in pre-cast laying and block paving.
• Ability to manage training over a three-year period, including planning, delivery, and monitoring.
• Provision of qualified trainers with relevant SAQA IDs and experience.
• Compliance with the National Treasury General Conditions of Contracts and relevant procurement policies.
• Ability to incorporate local content, promote inclusive growth, and support local SMEs and entrepreneurs.
