Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the provision of a comprehensive Vaalputs Video Update. This includes developing, translating, and producing a professional video that illustrates the disposal process at the Vaalputs facility, highlighting safety, environmental responsibility, and operational procedures. Additionally, the project aims to create shorter clips suitable for social media, educational outreach, and stakeholder presentations, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Script development in English with revisions
• Translation of scripts into Afrikaans
• Voiceover recordings in both English and Afrikaans
• Subtitles embedding in Afrikaans
• Logo replacements, intro/outro sequences, and overlays
• Branding updates and editing/post-production including syncing, sound, and graphics
• On-site filming at Vaalputs with crew, drone, and travel arrangements
• Creation of animated sequences illustrating disposal key stages and integration of supplied footage/images
• Final master video (8 minutes), a 30-second highlight reel, and 1-2 minute shorter clips for various platforms
• Deliverables in HD/4K format, including raw files

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Delivery of the final video in HD/4K MP4 format with all outputs and raw files
• Creation of animated sequences illustrating the disposal process
• Embedding subtitles and integrating supplied footage/images into the final cut
• Production of shorter clips (1–2 minutes) tailored for social media, educational, and stakeholder use
• Compliance with safety, security, and branding protocols during filming
• Adherence to a project timeline of 6 to 8 weeks from appointment

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in professional video production, including scriptwriting, translation, voiceover, editing, motion graphics, and videography (preferably with drone use)
• Proven track record with at least three relevant projects in the past 3 years, with full scope demonstrated through references or portfolio
• Ability to provide a detailed, tailored methodology covering all phases: discovery, scripting, pre-production, filming, post-production, and delivery
• A competent, multi-disciplinary team including roles for project management, scriptwriting, translation, filming, editing, and voiceover, with CVs and relevant experience
• Capability to deliver the project within the specified timeline, with a realistic and feasible schedule
• Possession of a valid Remote Pilot License (RPL) and Remote Operator Certificate (ROC) issued by SACAA for drone operations
