Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the provisioning, including design, supply, and installation, of ICT UTP cabling infrastructure. This aims to enhance the municipality's ICT infrastructure capabilities by establishing a reliable and efficient cabling system.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Design, supply, and installation of ICT UTP cabling infrastructure.
• Provisioning of related wireless ICT infrastructure.
• Construction of specific facilities such as Ward 8 Councillors’ Office.
• Provision of electrical infrastructure, water meters, cleaning materials, fire fighting vehicles, refuse vehicles, transformers, and other related services as specified in various tenders.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Design, supply, and installation of ICT UTP cabling infrastructure.
• Provisioning of ICT wireless infrastructure.
• Construction of office facilities with specified timelines.
• Supply and delivery of electrical products for underground and overhead systems.
• Provision of specialized fire fighting vehicles and refuse compaction vehicles.
• Manufacture, testing, and delivery of CSP transformers.
• Design and monitoring of civil engineering services at designated sites.
• Provision of professional engineering services for microbiological analyses and other environmental samples.

Skills Requirements

Potential bidders should possess:

• Relevant technical expertise in ICT infrastructure design, supply, and installation.
• Experience in civil engineering and construction projects.
• Capability to manufacture, test, and deliver electrical transformers and related equipment.
• Proficiency in project management and site supervision for civil and electrical works.
• Specialized skills in vehicle maintenance, firefighting equipment, and environmental sampling.
• Compliance with CIDB grading requirements (minimum 3GB or higher).
• Registration on the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s supplier’s database.
