Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to provide comprehensive Data Analytics training to 189 officials over a period of 5 days. The training aims to enhance their skills in data capturing, cleaning, analysis, and reporting, enabling better decision-making through statistical techniques, automated tools, and software applications. The course focuses on developing competencies in predictive and prescriptive analytics to improve efficiency and foster innovation within the department.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Conducting a 5-day training course for 189 officials, divided into groups as specified.
• Providing a fully equipped training venue with necessary facilities such as internet, projectors, workstations, and IT support.
• Delivering modules covering data capture, cleaning, analysis, visualization (charts, dashboards), scenario analysis, data integrity, and reporting automation.
• Training to be conducted at designated venues in East London and Umtata, with specific group sizes per location.
• Ensuring that training materials, manuals, and post-training support are provided to participants.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the training include:

• Fully equipped training venues with:
• Internet connectivity (Wi-Fi and backup options)
• Projectors and large display screens
• High-performance trainer workstations (laptops/desktops)
• Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) or backup generator
• Local network access for file sharing
• Power outlets and extension cables
• Microphone for trainers
• On-site IT support
• Registration and attendance facilities
• Compliance with occupational health and safety standards
• Training modules must include practical exercises on data management, analysis, visualization, and reporting using Excel and other relevant tools.
• Provision of training materials in digital and printed formats, accessible during and after the course.
• Assessment of participant competency and issuance of certificates based on course outcomes.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Intermediate or higher expertise in data analytics, including data capture, cleaning, PivotTables, dashboards, and reporting.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in facilitating adult training, with evidence of delivering similar Excel/data analytics training projects (at least five in the last three years).
• Qualified trainers with certifications in Information Technology, Data/Business Analytics, Statistics, or related fields, and recognized facilitation or Train-the-Trainer credentials.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver training modules aligned with the specified content areas, including scenario analysis, data integrity, and report automation.
• Capacity to provide post-training support and ensure participants meet the course competency standards.
