Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to invite qualified service providers to undertake the renovations of Ndimakude Library in Flagstaff. The aim is to improve and upgrade the library facilities in accordance with municipal standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope encompasses the comprehensive renovation of Ndimakude Library, including roof and ceiling maintenance, flooring, partitions, and related building works as detailed in the tender documents. It also involves adherence to health and safety regulations, quality standards, and project completion within the specified timeframe.

Technical Requirements

• Completion of roof and ceiling maintenance, including roof sheeting, ceilings, and related fixtures.
• Installation of flooring, partitions, and other interior finishes as specified.
• Compliance with the JBCC Principal Building Agreement and relevant construction regulations.
• Provision of all necessary materials, labor, and equipment to execute the renovation works.
• Adherence to health and safety standards, including Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
• Provision of project management, supervision, and quality control measures.
• Submission of all mandatory documentation, including tax compliance, local content declarations, and bid forms.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in building renovations, roofing, ceilings, flooring, and partitioning projects.
• Competence in project management and site supervision.
• Knowledge of relevant construction standards, health and safety regulations, and municipal procurement policies.
• Ability to prepare detailed technical and financial proposals.
• Capability to coordinate and communicate effectively with municipal officials and stakeholders.
• Compliance with CIDB grading requirements (minimum 1 GB or higher).
• Demonstrated capacity to deliver projects within stipulated timelines and budgets.
