Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is the replacement of station diesel compressors and dryers, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with Eskom’s standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope includes the supply, installation, commissioning, and commissioning support for replacement of diesel compressors and dryers at specified Eskom stations. It encompasses all activities necessary to deliver fully operational equipment in accordance with the technical and contractual requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of diesel compressors and dryers that meet Eskom’s specifications and standards.
• Compliance with relevant legislation, safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards.
• Adherence to CIDB registration requirements and grading where applicable.
• Provision of proof of SHEQ systems, policies, and capabilities.
• Site visits and/or clarification meetings as stipulated, with mandatory attendance.
• Provision of cataloguing information and labelling of delivered materials as per Eskom’s specifications.
• Provision of security for performance, including details of financial institutions.
• Inclusion of duties, taxes, levies, and currency considerations in pricing.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Registered CIDB grading (if applicable) with proof of registration or capability to register within 21 working days.
• Demonstrated compliance with SHEQ policies and proven safety, health, and environmental management systems.
• Experience in supply, installation, and commissioning of diesel compressors and dryers.
• Capability to provide cataloguing and labelling of materials.
• Financial stability and capacity to provide security for performance from approved financial institutions.
• Understanding of Eskom’s procurement policies, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to attend site visits and clarification meetings, and to respond promptly to Eskom’s clarifications and addenda.
