Objectives

The primary objectives of this tender are to appoint a qualified Occupational Health Therapist (OHT) to conduct workplace assessments, promote disability inclusion, deliver training, and provide reasonable accommodation assessments and reporting. The initiative aims to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace aligned with relevant legislation and organizational values. Additionally, it seeks to support compliance with B-BBEE mandates, enhance disability awareness, reduce discrimination, and improve participation of employees with disabilities.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses four main phases:

1. Workplace Analysis: Conduct high-level organizational and site-based assessments to identify systemic barriers, policy gaps, and operational limitations affecting disability inclusion.
2. Disability Awareness and Sensitivity Training: Design and deliver interactive training programs to increase awareness, sensitivity, and legislative compliance among staff.
3. Reasonable Accommodation and OHS Assessments: Perform assessments for declared and new employees with disabilities, providing confidential reports with recommendations for workplace modifications and assistive devices.
4. Provision of Recommendations and Reporting: Deliver consolidated reports with organizational-level recommendations, assistive solutions, and alignment with B-BBEE and tax incentive opportunities.

Technical Requirements

• Experience in conducting disability, inclusion, and awareness services, including workplace analysis, policy reviews, and diagnostic assessments.
• Design and delivery of disability awareness and sensitivity training programs aligned with legislative requirements.
• Ability to perform OHS-based workplace assessments for employees with declared disabilities and provide confidential individual reports.
• Provision of reasonable accommodation recommendations, assistive devices, and workplace modifications.
• Demonstrated capability to deliver services across multiple sites within specified timeframes.
• Provision of qualified personnel, including a Client Relations Manager with at least 3 years’ experience and an Occupational Health Therapist with at least 4 years’ experience.
• Ability to conduct organizational or site-based workplace analysis, including workshops, policy reviews, and diagnostic assessments.

Skills Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in disability, inclusion, and awareness services; proven track record in conducting workplace analysis and assessments.
• Training Delivery: Skills in designing and delivering interactive disability awareness and sensitivity training programs, with legislative alignment.
• Assessment Expertise: Competence in OHS-based disability assessments, providing detailed confidential reports with practical recommendations.
• Personnel Qualifications: CVs demonstrating relevant experience for key personnel (CRM and OHT).
• References: At least 4 contactable reference letters demonstrating capabilities in assessments, recommendations, and assistive solutions.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with current legislation, organizational policies, and B-BBEE requirements related to disability inclusion.
