Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified catering service provider to deliver catering services for the National Lotteries Commission's Educational and Awareness workshop in Maviljan-a, Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga Province. The service aims to facilitate a one-day event scheduled for 04 June 2026, ensuring provision of meals and beverages as specified, to support the Commission's educational and awareness initiatives.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Provision of pre-packaged lunch for 150 delegates during the workshop at Maviljan community hall.
• Delivery of specific food items including starches (pap and rice), roasted/grilled chicken, beef stew, salads, vegetables, bottled water, soft drinks, and fruit juices.
• Reporting to the National Lotteries Commission on service delivery.
• Execution of services within a single day, following receipt of the appointment letter and purchase order.

Technical Requirements

The catering service provider must meet the following technical specifications:

• Provide a complete pre-packaged lunch containing:
  • Starch (pap and rice)
  • Meat (chicken and beef)
  • Salads (potato salad and chakalaka)
  • Vegetables (pumpkin and creamy spinach)
• Supply bottled still water (500ml), soft drinks (300ml cans), and fruit juices (300ml cans), ensuring compliance with South African legal, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Ensure all food premises are certified acceptable for food handling and safety.
• Deliver all items on the specified date, 04 June 2026, at the designated venue.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in catering services for large events or workshops.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations in South Africa.
• Ability to provide quality food and beverages that meet legal and environmental standards.
• Capacity to coordinate timely delivery and setup at the specified venue.
• Compliance with all reporting and documentation requirements set by the National Lotteries Commission.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and compliance with tax and B-BBEE regulations.
