Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to supply, install, commission, support, and maintain the IT network, IP telephony, and IT security infrastructure for Airports Company South Africa (ACSA). The engagement aims to ensure a reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure that supports operational excellence over a maximum period of 60 months.

Scope

The scope encompasses the full lifecycle of the IT infrastructure, including:

• Supply of hardware and software components as specified in the tender documents.
• Installation and commissioning of the network, telephony, and security systems.
• Provision of support and maintenance services throughout the contract period.
• Transition and exit planning to ensure seamless handover at contract completion.

Specific technical areas include campus routing and switching, IP telephony, wireless networking, network security, and associated infrastructure components.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements are detailed in the tender documentation and include:

• Provision of certified technical resources meeting minimum certification levels for campus routing, switching, IP telephony, wireless, and security systems.
• Experience in maintaining campus access, core, and distribution networks with references demonstrating networks with a minimum number of access switches and core routers.
• Provision of hardware and software components meeting specified certification standards and experience in maintaining these systems.
• Development and submission of preventative and corrective maintenance plans, transition, and exit strategies.
• Compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and POPI (Protection of Personal Information) regulations.

Skills and Skills Requirements

The tender specifies the need for skilled personnel with relevant certifications and experience, including:

• Project Management certification (PMP or PRINCE2) with minimum five years' experience.
• Certified technical resources for campus routing and switching, IP telephony, wireless, and security infrastructure.
• Experience in maintaining campus networks, unified communications, wireless, and security hardware/software with verifiable references.
• Specialized skills in network firewalling, security, and Riverbed RiOS systems.
• Personnel with recognized certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CCNA, HCIE, and relevant OEM certifications.
• Experience in delivering support services, including preventive and corrective maintenance, transition, and exit planning.

All personnel involved must meet the minimum certification and experience requirements, and proof of such qualifications must be provided as part of the bid submission.
